Aegan Airlines - Miles+Bonus

Aegan Airlines is Greece's largest airline with more than 150 destinations within Europe and the Middle East. The airline is a part of Star Alliance and also have a code-share agreement with Olympic Air. Aegan Airlines frequent flyer program is called Miles+Bonus.

The Miles+Bonus program consist of three tiers; blue, silver and gold. By simply flying with Aegan or Olympic Air you earn tier and award miles, which you can later redeem for flight tickets. It is also possible to purchase tier miles in order to reach the next tier.

As a blue member you don't get a lot of travel benefits, but as soon as you become a silver member (which require that you fly with Aegan or Olympic at least twice and earn 12,000 Tier Miles or collect a total of 24,000 Tier Miles), you can enjoy a lot of perks. This includes 10% extra award miles, seat upgrades, lounge access and the possibility to open a 'Together account' and earn miles with up to five other people.

To reach the gold tier you need to fly at least four times with the airlines and earn 24,000 Tier Miles or collect a total of 48,000 Tier Miles within a year. Once you've become a gold member you can enjoy benefits like Star Alliance Gold status, 20% extra award miles, seat upgrades, lounge access, priority security screening and special baggage allowance.

Air Canada - Aeroplan

Air Canada can get you to more than 220 destinations across six different continents. This does not only make it Canada's largest airline, but also one of the 20 largest airlines in the world. Air Canada is one of the founding members of Star Alliance and as a loyal member you can earn rewards in their frequent flyer program Aeroplan.

The Aeroplan program consist of three status tiers; silver, black and diamond. To qualify for each tier you need to earn Aeroplan miles, which you do by flying with either Air Canada or one of its partner airlines. It is possible to earn up to 200% of the actual miles you travel. To reach silver status you need 25,000 miles, for black 50,000 miles and for diamond 100,000 miles. Each tier comes with specific travel benefits and the higher the tier, the more benefits you can enjoy. When you've reached silver you can enjoy up to 2 status bonus miles per dollar spent, room upgrades and breakfast at Fairmont Hotel & Resorts as well as up to 20% fewer miles required when you redeem a Market Fare Flight Reward. Once you've reached diamond you need up to 35% fewer miles to redeem a Market Fare Flights Reward, you get up to 4 status bonus miles for every dollar you spend and you'll also get 250 Aeroplan miles for every stay at Marriott and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. As a diamond member you can also enjoy room upgrades, breakfast and hotel credit at Fairmont as well as priority access to the Aeroplan Contact Centre.

Air Canada's most loyal customers can qualify for Altitude status, which mean even more benefits and perks. To reach Altitude status you need to earn Altitude Qualifying Miles (AQM) or Altitude Qualifying Segments (AQS) and Altitude Qualifying Dollars (AQD). You earn these on eligible flights operated by Air Canada or any of its alliance partners. The Altitude status is divided into several tiers; Prestige 25K, Elite 35K, Elite 50K, Elite 75K and Super Elite 100K. Air China is one of the largest airlines in People's Republic of China. The airline operate routes to more than 200 destinations within Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania. Air China is a part of Star Alliance and has a frequent flyer program called PhoenixMiles.

To qualify for each tier you need to fly with Air China or its airline partners. To reach silver you need to fly at least 40,000 kilometers (km) or 30 separate flights (segments), for gold you need 80,000 km or 50 segments and for platinum 160,000 km or 90 segments.

Air India - Flying Returns

Air India is one of the major airlines in India and the airline that offer the most international routes in the country. You can get to almost 100 destinations across the world with Air India, which has been a part of Star Alliance since 2014. The airline's frequent flyer program is called Flying Returns.

Air India's frequent flyer program Flying Returns was the first of its kind in the entire country. Once you join the program you are eligible for benefits and perks not available to the average traveler. Star Alliance founding member Thai Airways is the national carrier of Thailand. The airline operate routes to more than 70 destinations in Thailand, the Middle East, the Pacific, Asia and Europe. Earn and redeem miles for free flights, class upgrades and other luxurious awards with the Royal Orchid Plus frequent flyer program. The program consist of four tiers; Basic, Silver, Gold and Platinum. When you first apply to the program you start on the Basic status level. To reach one of the other membership levels you need to accumulate Qualifying Miles, which are based on the actual miles you've flown and the fare class purchased.

As a Basic status member you can earn and redeem miles, but there's no other travel benefits you can enjoy. As soon as you reach Silver status however you are rewarded with perks such as additional checked baggage allowance, priority wait-listing and standby. The two top tier statuses Gold and Platinum come with even more; you can for example enjoy priority check-in and security screening, lounge access and priority boarding.

The flag carrier of Turkey - Turkish Airlines - operate routes to more than 300 destinations in 120 countries all over the world. The airline has its hub in Istanbul and is a member of Star Alliance. You can earn miles and redeem those for rewards with their frequent flyer program Miles&Smiles.

Earn miles on every single Turkish Airlines and Star Alliance airline flight with the frequent flyer program Miles&Smiles. You can also earn miles while on the ground; at program partners like hotels and car rental companies. The Miles&Smiles program is divided into four membership levels. You start out at the Classic level and from there you work yourself up to Classic Plus, Elite and Elite Plus. To qualify for Classic Plus you need to accumulate 25,000 Status Miles within one year. If you want to go even higher and achieve Elite or Elite Plus status you need to earn 40,000 and 80,000 Status Miles respectively.

At the Basic level there are not a lot of travel benefits more than actually being able to earn and redeem miles. Once you achieve Classic Plus status you can enjoy perks like free entry to all Turkish Airlines lounges on domestic routes and extra baggage allowance. As an Elite or Elite Plus member you get lounge access for yourself and a friend on all routes, limitless free Wi-Fi on Turkish Airlines and Business class check-in.

United - MileagePlus

United is one of the major passenger carriers in the world. The american airline and Star Alliance member operate routes to more than 300 destinations and 50 countries around the world. United's frequent flyer program is called MileagePlus.

Earn points while traveling, shopping, dining and enjoying other everyday activities as a MileagePlus member. United Airlines' frequent flyer program consist of one Basic membership level as well as four premier status levels; Premier Silver, Premier Gold, Premier Platinum and Premier 1K. You can qualify for each tier by making Premier Qualifying Flights and earning Premier Qualifying Points. To achieve Premier Silver Status you need to have made at least 12 Premier Qualifying Flights and earned 4,000 Premier Qualifying Points. You can also reach Silver status by earning 5,000 Premier Qualifying Points. The higher the level, the more points and flights you need.

Once you become a Premier status member you can enjoy a buffet of travel benefits and privileges. As a Premier Silver status member you are eligible for complimentary upgrades, extra baggage allowance and 7x miles on all flights. When you become a Gold member you get two extra checked bags for free, Star Alliance Gold status and 8x miles on all flights, and as a Platinum member you can enjoy two regional upgrades, and access to Economy Plus for you and eight travel companions. Once you're a Premier 1K member you earn 11x miles on all flights you take, you get priority boarding, free drinks and snacks onboard and six global premier upgrades.
